CEF with World Bank on the Supervisory Visit for the Accounting Project in Macedonia

The training of accountants in Macedonia is an important project for Macedonian public sector, and the World Bank has played an important role in supporting the attempts of the Macedonian government to build capacity in this area.

The project that started in 2014 is slowly coming to an end, leaving behind an extensive group of certified accountants and a smaller group of those who choose or were appointed to study at a higher diploma level. Within the implementation of the training and localization activities and to prepare for the final actions of the project, CEF and the World Bank joined forces to gather feedback from the involved parties in the project and met with the beneficiary – Ministry of finance, and the tutors being the core of the training delivery. The exchange of experience was of great importance to the World Bank and CEF as implementing partner in gathering the lessons learnt, that would help adjust future projects to fit local needs.
