Change and reforms are certainties as organizations are constantly improving their infrastructures and as national priorities evolve. This trend is likely to keep on accelerating and this workshop looks at how leaders, managers, and professionals can take a systematic approach to preparing themselves, their colleagues and their organizations for change.

The aim of this workshop is to give managers and technical specialists working in public sector and NGO’s the knowledge and tools they need to systematically plan and manage large change initiatives.

The workshop is presented in a series of lectures and group exercises based on a case study of organizational change which is designed to help reinforce the learning (the case study will be made available to delegates two weeks before the start of the workshop).

What you will learn

By the end of the course, you will:

• Understand the factors that motivate people involved in change to participate or resist change.
• Be able to recognise the drivers of public sector change and how these drivers affect the objectives of change and how it can be implemented.
• Be familiar with appropriate programme governance structures to plan and manage complex change.
• Be able to diagnose organisation culture and the change capabilities of their organisation.
• Understand how to identify change aims, an appropriate vision and the design elements of a future operating model or blueprint for the future state of their organisation.
• Be able to identify the specific changes to strategies, systems and structures necessary to create the required capabilities and the projects and implementation activities to deliver these changes.
• Understand the critical importance of stakeholder analysis, engagement and benefits realisation.

How you will benefit

Benefits to the individual: The ability to plan and manage effective change is one of the most sought after skills that managers can have. This program set in the context of change in South East European organizations, will help attendees acquire this valuable knowledge and skill set making them more confident in the way that they engage in change and capacity development in their own organizations.
Benefits to the organization: Organizations nominating people to attend this workshop will find that attendees return with a much better understanding of the way to approach change. They should be more confident in applying their knowledge and better able to contribute to planning and leading change in the organization as it improves its capacity and effectiveness in policy design and implementation.

Who should attend

Managers and professionals in leadership or influential/policy roles in central banks, financial, and supervisory organizations who are involved in planning and/or leading change programs are kindly invited to apply.
