10 Years of Knowledge Sharing and Building Skills at the CEF
Ljubljana, June 23 - 24, 2011
The Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF) is celebrating its 10th anniversary of successful operations. During the last 10 years the CEF has built a network and infrastructure that is now in place to best support region-wide capacity development initiatives. The CEF has become a leading institution for capacity development in public financial management and central banking in South East Europe (SEE) with extensive knowledge of the region's needs.

Several events honoring 10th anniversary of successful operation of the CEF will be complemented by the Regional Policy Forum on “Growth Strategies after the Crisis” taking place on June 24, 2011, in Ljubljana.

Thomas Mirow (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), Philippe Le Houérou (The World Bank), Anton Rop (European Investment Bank), and Gerd Schwartz (International Monetary Fund) will share their views on the regional growth agenda with ministers of finance and governors of central banks of South-Eastern Europe (SEE).

  • on Thursday, June 23, 2011, between 10:00 and 18:00, at the Government Communication Office (Gregorčičeva 25, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia (on the map)

  • on Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Media Accreditation and Information Desk in Grand Hotel Union during its opening hours. The opening hours of the Media Accreditation and Information Desk are:

A press centre with all basic amenities (2 personal computers, 10 LAN connections for laptop computers, wireless internet connection) will be open in Grand Hotel Union (White Hall, on 1st floor).
