By plane
The most convenient for you is to fly to the Ljubljana Airport, which is located 26 km north of Ljubljana center.
There are several airports which are located in vicinity of Ljubljana:

By car
You can get to Ljubljana by car from:
Croatia - drive via Obrežje boarder crossing and take A2 highway. Austria - drive via Karavanke or Ljubelj border crossing and then take A2 highway or via Šentilj boarder crossing and then take A1 highway. Hungary - drive via Hodoš and Dolga vas border crossing in direction of Maribor and then take A1 highway to Ljubljana. Italy - drive via Fernetici boarder crossing and then take A3 highway. |
By train / bus
Ljubljana has good railway and/or bus links with Croatia (Zagreb, Rijeka), Hungary (Budapest), Italy (Trieste), Austria (Vienna, Klagenfurt, Graz) and Germany (Munich). The above mentioned cities have good international connections with all of the large European cities.

The CEF is conveniently located in the center of Ljubljana, very close to hotels, picturesque medieval Ljubljana, major galleries, and beautiful Tivoli Park. From the main Post office, follow the Cankarjeva Street in direction to the Tivoli Park. The Center of Excellence in Finance is located on your right side, opposite the Opera house and before the National Gallery.
During your stay in Ljubljana, you can use taxi or public transport. For city buses please note that all tickets are carried on Urbana public transport card. Urbana enables you free transfers within 90 minutes. It can be purchased at:
- Ticket office of Ljubljana Public Transport (LPP), Slovenska 56, Ljubljana,
- All Tourist Information Centers (TIC) in Ljubljana,
- The tobacco and newspaper shops Delo Prodaja and 3Dva,
- At Urbanomat machines -stationed at all the main bus stops.
Visitors to Ljubljana can now ride around the capital using new bicycles from BicikeLJ, a self-service rent-a-bike system.
Weekly use: The weekly registration fee is €1.00.
The weekly use of the Bicike(LJ) bicycle hire scheme is available upon registration on the Bicike(LJ) website.
