Opening of the Public Accountants Certification Training in Republic of Serbia
The opening ceremony of the Public Accountants Certification Training (PACT) in Republic of Serbia was held on October 13, 2016 at the Ministry of Finance in Belgrade. The program aims to train up to 25 students, who were successful at the selection test, on certificate level in the period 2016-18. The training will be delivered by local tutors and international experts from Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro, who will pass their knowledge and valuable experiences to students, enabling them to participate in country public finance reforms.
Ms Mirjana Pokrajac, Assistant Director of Sector for Budget Accounting and Reporting, addressed students as a representative of the State treasury and wished them luck in fulfilling their study obligations.
This professional certification program is made possible through Emerging Donors Challenge Fund. Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia and the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF) offer to the program in-kind support.
The program will be implemented by the CEF. The Chartered Institute for Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) developed materials and it will award international certificates to successful attendees.
