We Continue with Country Visits in SEE
The CEF team visited Tirana on February 6-7, 2017, to share information about the project “Strengthening Financial Management Functions of Line Ministries” in Albania. The visit is part of a series of country visits in the project that focuses on strengthening coordination and financial capacities of line ministries that is supported by the SAFE trust fund.
Representatives of the CEF had very successful meetings with the representatives of eight line ministries, Ministry of Finance and Bank of Albania.
At the joint meeting of representatives of line ministries and Ministry of Finance that was opened by the CEF coordinator Gelardina Prodani we presented CEF key project guidelines, and discussed the public financial management reforms in Albania. This served as input into a brainstorming session where we reflected how the finance management functions could be strengthened. We consolidated the received input and had a discussion about the good practices, needs and what kind of learning initiatives they would welcome. We also met with the CEF coordinator at the Bank of Albania, Gramos Kolasi.
