Moldova and Montenegro recently ratified the Agreement on Establishing the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF) as an international organization. Thus far five countries ratified the Agreement: Bulgaria, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, and Slovenia. Countries that ratified the Agreement are full CEF members and can influence all major decisions through the CEF Governing Board.

In addition to countries that ratified or signed the Agreement the CEF also serves to Albania, Kosovo, Serbia and Turkey. CEF membership is open to any country or international organization that is interested in promotion of knowledge exchange, delivery of training and facilitation of technical assistance in public financial management, central banking and other areas of public administration.

The change of status facilitates the hiring of international staff and enhances cooperation with our partner institutions. This  further strengthens the CEF`s role in developing of capacities of public servants and helps them respond to the challenges they are encountering at their work as effectively as possible.
