CEF to Become a Member of Global Initiative for Fiscal Transparency Network
We are proud to share that the CEF is on its way to become a member of Global Initiative for Fiscal Transparency (GIFT) Network. CEF applied for membership in the network and the network acknowledged its “experience, prestige, capacity and authority in advancing fiscal transparency and effectiveness in supporting government agencies in CEF constituency countries to enhance fiscal transparency, participation and accountability.”
We look forward to start building a fruitful and strong partnership with the the GIFT, a global network that facilitates dialogue between governments, civil society organizations, international financial institutions and other stakeholders to find and share solutions to challenges in fiscal transparency and participation. We will explore the opportunities from the partnership by attending GIFT strategic meetings and events and by taking part in all important discussions. The strong relationship with the GIFT network will include connecting the CEF with all members of the GIFT community and responding promptly to the CEF requests for assistance and collaboration.
The first event of the GIFT network that the CEF representatives from the program team will attend is a workshop that will take place on May 23 in Zagreb, on the topic of information technologies and digital tools to promote transparency and citizen engagement.
