Governance and Gender Diversity: On the Role of Women in Public Administration

At the fourth meeting of the network on Gender Diversity and Governance around Mediterranean women leaders from public administrations in the region exchanged good practices and discussed reference tools on public communication without sexual stereotype. They also raised the questions of gender-diversity and employment and gender-diversity and governance issues. The next network meeting will be hosted by the CEF.

Ms. Mira Dobovišek, CEF Director is active member of the network consisting of senior women leaders in the public administration of Mediterranean countries. The network aims to consolidate gender diversity within public administration in the countries around the Mediterranean through:

  • reinforcing women's role in administrations, especially economic and financial administrations;
  • creating a network in a position to influence public policies in regard to good governance and awareness of gender diversity;
  • creating informal networks in the Euro-Mediterranean countries for the exchange of information, experiences and sharing good practices.
