We Concluded Annual Meeting of the CEF Governing Board in Chisinau, Moldova

High level representatives from ministries of finance and central banks from nine countries convened at the National Bank of Moldova for the annual meeting of the Governing Board of the CEF. The meeting was hosted by Vladimir Munteanu, First Deputy Governor of National Bank of Moldova, who was chairing the CEF Governing Board in the past year. At the meeting, the Governing Board reviewed the CEF`s work in the past year and its future governance and program topics. Vladimir Munteanu, First Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, handed over the rotating chairmanship of the CEF Governing Board to Radoje Žugić, Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro.

The meeting was attended by high-level representatives of CEF member and partner institutions from Albania, Bulgaria, Germany, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia including Irena Vodopivec Jean, Vice-Governor of the Bank of Slovenia, Ana Mitreska, Vice-Governor of the National Bank of Northern Macedonia and Shiret Elezi, Deputy Minister of Finance of North Macedonia. Octavian Armașu, Governor of National Bank of Moldova opened the high-level round table on Effective Coordination between Central Banks and Ministries of Finance that was held back-to-back with the Governing Board meeting.

The CEF that will soon mark the 20th anniversary of its operations closely cooperates with partner institutions such as the International Monetary Fund, the European Commission, the World Bank and other international organizations, knowledge and peer institutions. "Our learning program has high reputation among participants from South East Europe and elsewhere. We will together with partner institutions continue to provide top-level expertise in the field of public finance management and central banking," highlighted Jana Repanšek, CEF Director on the occasion.
