About this learning event

The study visit will take place in Prishtina. It will be organized back-to-back with WeLearn Workshop on Participatory Governance and Listening at a Bigger Scale. It will involve visits to different public institutions, with an emphasis on sharing experiences related to the EU integration process. Additionally, a cultural component will be integrated into the study visit, including walking tour of Prishtina, visiting Ethnographic museum and Gracanica monastery.

We are going to visit the following public institutions: Office of the Prime Minister, Tax Administration of Kosovo, Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers, EU Delegation Office, Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, and Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Participants will get an insight into the functioning of these public institutions and deepen the knowledge on the EU accession process, each institution also highlighting the opportunities and challenges with the EU integration process and explaining what is their institutional view on the Kosovo* approach to the EU accession process. The main topic would be therefore related to the EU integration process within the public administration, while also answering some questions from participants and giving them advice on leadership and how to tackle challenges of the EU integration in public office.

Who should attend

This study visit is intended for the participants – second generation - of the WeExperience component under WeLead project.

* This designation is without prejudice to positions on status and is in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ opinion on Kosovo Declaration of Independence.
