CEF and IEDC-Bled School of Management Share Leadership Advice to Economic Reform Program Coordinators

We are happy to have teamed up with the IEDC-Bled School of Management in our efforts to strengthen leadership and management capacities of the Coordinators for the Economic Reform Program (ERP) from Western Balkans and Turkey.

ERP coordinators gathered in Bled to discuss how the complex process of development, costing and budgeting of their respective ERP can be successfully led. The later is also very closely linked to effective communication with a variety of experts and types of personalities across the line ministries and the ability to motivate and engage partners, collaborates and employees.

After the welcoming remarks by  Danica Purg, the President and Dean of the IEDC - Bled School of Management, and Jana Repanšek, Director of the Center of Excellence in Finance, prof. Drikus Kriek, Vice Dean for Pedagogy and Executive Director of the PhD programme, IEDC-Bled School of Management, introduced ERP coordinators to the concept of leadership as an act whereby a mind space is co-created between leaders and followers to create an environment of engaged collaboration. In this regard prof. Kriek highlighted the need for understanding self and own leadership strengths, leadership as a collaborative act, and drivers for leading effectively.

To be able to act as inspiring leaders in the process of development of the ERP, the CEF director Jana Repanšek and Chief Program Officer Robert Bauchmüller shared with an audience the story of the CEF’s transformation and growth as a regional knowledge hub – institutions that have developed capacity to capture, package and share knowledge and experience internally and with partners.

The event was delivered on March 6, 2020 in Bled. It was delivered as part of the EU funded multi-beneficiary project “Strengthening Line Ministries’ Capacities to Assess Fiscal Implications of Structural Reforms” implemented by the CEF.
