November is the Month of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the CEF

We present Bosnia and Herzegovina at our premises in November, under the initiative of regular CEF monthly constituency presentations. Presentation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is already 10th presentation in our lobby.

The corner of Bosnia and Herzegovina in our lobby will display materials about different regions, landscape, culture and cities of this country. Our learning facilitators will present culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina to participants of learning events and give them an opportunity to share their experiences connected with this country. We will spread the word about the activities also through our various communication channels including social media.

Some interesting facts about Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H):

  • It is a heart-shaped country in South East Europe located on the Balkan Peninsula.
  • Country’s territory extends around 50,000 km2. Bosnia covers northern and central parts while southern landscape presents Herzegovina. 
  • Official currency is Bosnian Convertible Marka.
  • About 20 km of coastline surrounds city of Neum. Country’s climate is predominantly continental with hot summers and cold and snowy winters. Southern parts have Mediterranean climate.
  • Typical local dish is called sarma
  • B&H has a bicameral legislature and a three-member Presidency composed of a member of each major ethnic group. The central government’s power is limited, due to country’s decentralization to various autonomous regions.
  • It is a potential candidate for the EU membership.
