Strengthening Communication Skills: From Verbal Communication to Reporting Audit Results

May 10, 2023 , Online Webinar
May 31 – Jun 2, 2023 , Ljubljana, Slovenia Workshop

Effective communication is key to performing successful audit activities. Some argue that for internal audit professionals to be successful in their roles, strong communication skills are even more important than the technical skills. Knowing how to deal with different stakeholders and providing them with clear information is therefore critical as the way audit findings and recommendations are communicated impacts the perceived quality and value of the audit.

About this learning event

Only with strong communication skills, will internal auditors be able to perform activities which will add value and improve an organization’s operations. Are you ready to strengthen your communication skills, develop better relationship with key stakeholders, and deliver high-quality audit reports?

This blended learning event will focus on key communication skills and tools that internal auditors can use to deliver high-impact audit activities. We will address several skills from listening, interviewing, negotiation, to providing feedback and reporting. As it is particularly important to develop confidence to use those skills in practice, we will offer a safe environment and numerous opportunities to deepen those skills. After completing this initiative, internal auditors will develop more persuasive communication skills and be prepared to apply these skills in practice. They will also learn about techniques and tools that will help them deliver high-quality, clear, and effective audit reports.
