Integrating Economic Impact of Structural Reforms into the Economic Reform Program: Bosnia and Herzegovina

Oct 2 – 3, 2025 Bjelašnica, BiH No Fee

About this learning event

This autumn workshop continues to support the preparation of the 2026-2028 Economic Reform Program (ERP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The European Commission’s Guidance Note for the ERP requests the countries to provide information on the expected economic and fiscal impact of structural reforms, and explain how this impact was taken into account in the macroeconomic and fiscal scenarios of the ERP.

This workshop will follow up and continue the work from a previous spring workshop, delivered in June 2025 in Bjelašnica, where participants learned about and practiced using the tools for economic impact assessment (EIA) of reforms in policy areas with the highest potential impact. As the workshop’s conclusion, it was agreed with the beneficiaries that:

  • The ERP/RA coordinators at the country and entity level will liaise with relevant line ministries and other institutions to obtain the data and information needed for EIA of reforms.
  • Online expert consultation will be provided a month prior workshop, to support the data and information collection process and provide further clarifications as necessary.
  • At the autumn follow-up workshop, we will use the additional information and data to finalize the EIA of reforms already analyzed in the spring workshop.
  • As much as possible, the DEP’s macroeconomic model would be used in the workshop for finalizing the impact assessment.
