Auditing EU Funds: Lessons from the Facility for Ukraine
About this learning event
Given the Ukraine’s continued progress toward EU membership, establishing a stable and sustainable auditing system remains a key priority. This workshop is designed to strengthen Ukraine’s State Audit Service, with a particular focus on the needs of the Department of Methodology and Law, while supporting alignment with broader European integration principles.
The program will focus on the preparation and implementation of effective financial control systems in line with Chapter 32 (Financial Control), with particular attention to the management and oversight of EU funds, including cohesion and agricultural instruments. It will also strengthen transparency, accountability, and the protection of EU financial interests This will support Ukraine’s overall EU integration process. In addition, the workshop will present key lessons learned and identified gaps from the Ukraine Facility. These insights will help inform further improvements in auditing practices and institutional readiness.
