PAR and PFM reforms: Implementation of GIAS for Internal auditors in Montenegro
About this learning event
This workshop will bring together internal auditors from various public sector institutions in Montenegro, providing a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and hands-on skills development. The primary objective of this learning initiative is to strengthen the capacity of public sector internal auditors to deliver high-quality, value-added audit services.
The workshop will centre on the application of the new Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS) issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors, with particular emphasis on Chapters III, IV, and V. These chapters, which cover: Managing the Internal Audit Function, Performing Internal Audit Services and Communicating Results form the foundation of this capacity-building event.
The programme will begin with a workshop focused on practical techniques for planning, executing, and reporting on assurance engagements in full alignment with these key chapters of the GIAS. Through interactive sessions and real-life assignments, participants will sharpen their skills in the areas most critical to delivering effective and impactful internal audit services.
