CEF Advisory Board Confirms Strategic Direction and Program Priorities

On April 16, the CEF Advisory Board convened in a hybrid format, reaffirming the organization's program and strategic direction. The CEF team presented key strategic priorities for the CEF learning program, along with a set of multi-year project initiatives. Mateja Vraničar Erman from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs was re-appointed as Chair of the CEF Advisory Board for the coming year.

The Advisory Board is a consultative group of experts drawn from CEF donors and partners, playing a vital role in shaping and coordinating the delivery of CEF activities. As an integral part of the governance structure, it also contributes directly to the design and implementation of the CEF learning program.

The Advisory Board meets annually, with up to three of its members also serving on the Governing Board. Participating institutions at the 2026 meeting included ministries of finance from the Netherlands and Slovakia, the National Bank of Belgium, Slovenia’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and the ODI.
