Handover Ceremony of the CEF Governing Board Chairing from Romania to Slovenia

Following the recent annual meeting of the CEF Governing Board, we were delighted to welcome today at our premises Slovenian Minister of finance Mr. Andrej Šircelj and Ambassador of Romania in Slovenia H. E. Anton Niculescu.

On the occasion, CEF Director Ms. Jana Repanšek handed over the Certificate of Appreciation for Governor Isărescu to Ambassador Niculescu. “This is to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Mugur Isărescu, Governor of the National Bank of Romania, for his efforts in chairing the key decision-making body of the CEF - our Governing Board - over the course of the last year.” said Ms. Repanšek as she handed over the certificate.

Another highlight of today’s meeting was also a key passing ceremony.  The CEF key, a symbol of knowledge and success, along with the booklet that contains messages from past Governing Board chairs to their successors, have been passed on behalf of the Governor Isărescu from the Ambassador Niculescu to a newly appointed chair of the CEF Governing Board, Mr. Šircelj.

We are looking forward to work closely with Mr. Šircelj and are convinced that together with other Governing Board members the work of the CEF will continue to be successfully steered so that it can most effectively develop and deliver its mandate in the interest of CEF members.
