About this learning event

This Training of Trainers (ToT) will bring together trainers and tutors—internal and external auditors—engaged in the implementation of the National Certification Programme for Internal Auditing in Moldova. The two-day, practice-oriented training aims to strengthen participants’ knowledge and teaching capacity in key areas of internal auditing, with a particular focus on performance auditing and IT auditing. The ToT will cover practical aspects of performance auditing, including how to determine the need for such audits, integrate them into audit plans, plan and scope audit engagements, assess risks, select appropriate audit approaches, and apply relevant methods and techniques in practice.

The IT auditing component will focus on the practical application of the IT Three Lines Model, the use of GTAGs as audit criteria and controls, the distinction between general and application controls, and a practical overview of the IT Audit Handbook. Overall, the training seeks to strengthen the capacity of public sector internal auditors to deliver high-quality, value-added audit services through a strong emphasis on practical application and real-world examples.
