About this learning event

With the accelerating integration of digital technologies in public sector organizations and central banks, the role of IT auditing is evolving rapidly. Auditors are increasingly expected to evaluate complex digital services, ensure cybersecurity compliance, and assess the integrity of algorithmic and AI-based systems

This two-day workshop is designed to build and strengthen IT auditing competencies tailored to the unique needs and challenges of the public sector and central banks. Participants will gain hands-on experience, learn from real-world case studies, and engage in peer discussions focused on current and emerging audit areas. During this workshop, we will focus on key emerging areas in IT auditing, including IT risks and algorithm auditing, cybersecurity in the public sector and central banks, and the new GIAS standards on IT auditing.

Participants will also explore best practices in auditing AI and algorithmic systems as well as digital services, gaining practical insights to strengthen assurance and oversight in an increasingly digital and data-driven environment. Throughout this two-day workshop, participants will deepen their understanding of how to apply IT audit frameworks within the specific context of public sector organizations and central banks. The sessions are designed to help auditors recognize and assess the unique risks associated with IT systems, digital services, and cybersecurity, with a focus on aligning audit practices with evolving regulatory requirements such as the NIS directive and local legislation.
