Conducting Economic & Fiscal Impact Assessment of Reforms: North Macedonia
About this learning event
This event is part of the CEF's ongoing commitment to supporting European Union (EU) candidate and potential candidate countries in advancing their Reform Agendas (RA) and preparing their Economic Reform Programmes (ERP).
This workshop is a follow up of the learning event held in May 2025, and will offer participants the opportunity to deepen their practical skills by applying the impact assessment model using available data collected from the previously identified priority sectors: business environment, digital transition, energy sector and human capital. Additionally, participants will also engage in presenting impact assessment for inclusion in the forthcoming 2026-2028 Economic Reform Programme (ERP). In the final session, representatives from relevant Line Ministries (LM) will be invited to attend. This session will serve as a platform for presenting the results of Macroeconomic Policy Department's work, fostering inter-institutional collaboration, and discussing how Line Ministries can support the Ministry of Finance in the impact assessment process - by providing sectoral-specific data and by developing a shared understanding of the objectives of the impact assessment process.
