Monitoring and Evaluation for Effective Training Content Delivery
About this learning event
This interactive two-day workshop is designed to empower the Public Finance Academy (PFA) to take full ownership of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of its trainers. This event will help position the PFA Academy as the forefront facilitator of knowledge sharing among public officials by providing them and know-how on co-designing tools, observation and feedback techniques, and developing a concrete action plan for improvement. Through hands-on exercises, role-plays, and collaborative design sessions, participants will strengthen their ability to assess trainer performance, use digital tools for evidence-based evaluation, and ensure that M&E becomes an integral, sustainable part of PFA’s own institutional practice.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand the purpose, principles, and tools of M&E in the PFA context and especially the M&E of trainers (evaluation forms, observation, self-assessment, peer review).
- Co-create and map a practical framework of roles, responsibilities, and cycles for trainer M&E ensuring clarity on who collects what, when, and how.
- Apply hands-on skills in observation, feedback, and other forms of trainer evaluation.
- Develop ownership by aligning M&E instruments with PFA’s values, trainer competency framework, and strategic goals.
- Produce a draft M&E Action Plan that PFA staff can pilot and refine after the workshop.
