Jun 2 – 4, 2026 CEF, Ljubljana, Slovenia No Fee

About this learning event

This workshop is designed to support Heads of Internal Audit Units and Central Harmonization Unit (CHU) leaders in strengthening the performance, cohesion, and overall impact of their teams within the public sector environment. Recognizing the increasingly complex and demanding role of internal audit, the program focuses on enhancing leadership capabilities that enable audit leaders to guide their teams with clarity, confidence, and strategic vision.

Participants will explore practical and forward-looking leadership strategies aimed at fostering a culture of accountability, trust, and shared purpose. Through interactive discussions and applied exercises, the workshop will address how to build high-performing teams, manage diverse professional profiles, and create conditions that encourage open communication, constructive challenge, and continuous improvement.

Special attention will be given to motivating and retaining audit professionals, strengthening collaboration both within audit units and across institutions, and aligning team efforts with broader organizational and governmental objectives. The workshop will also examine how internal audit leaders can enhance their advisory role, reinforce ethical standards, and contribute more effectively to institutional resilience and reform processes.
