About this learning event

This workshop will focus on simulating the effects of tax changes using the EUROMOD model. EUROMOD is a widely-used microsimulation model for analyzing the distributionalimpcat of tax and benefit policies in the European Union. Developed, and managed by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission, EUROMOD allows users to analyze the impact of policy changes on the income and poverty levels of different population groups, as well as to estimate their effects on government revenues. It can also be used to assess the impact of a wide range of policy changes, including changes to tax rates, exemptions, credits benefit programs, and other public policy measures.

Who should attend

This workshop is designed for professionals from tax administrations, ministries of finance, and ministries of social affairs who are involved in analyzing and assessing the economic and social impacts of tax and benefit policies. It particularly targets those working on the modelling of taxes and social benefits, as well as revenue forecasting.
