EC Launch of ERP 2020-2022, organized by the CEF (by invitation only)
The annual ERP launch provides key officials with an overview of the latest changes in the guidance note and gives an opportunity to review with the Commission and peers from EU candidate countries and potential candidates the latest progress made and lessons learned in preparing and implementing the ERPs. The meeting will be delivered as part of the CEF’s EU-funded project ‘Strengthening Line Ministries’ Capacities to Assess Fiscal Implications of Structural Reforms’ (FISR).
ERPs and their predecessors have helped for more than two decades to frame the annual macroeconomic dialogue between EU candidate and potential candidate countries and the European Union. ERPs aim to enable accelerated economic growth and increase competitiveness by prioritizing key structural reforms to meet the economic criteria for EU accession.
The CEF has been entrusted with a mandate to design and implement a 2019-2021 capacity development project aimed at ‘Strengthening Line Ministries’ Capacities to Assess Fiscal Implications of Structural Reforms’ (FISR). This EU-funded project strengthens analytical and costing capacities, inter-institutional coordination, as well as cross-country cooperation. It aims at public officials, mainly from line ministries but also ministries of finance and other institutions in the EU candidate and potential candidate countries.
