About this learning event

The two-day regional workshop, jointly organized by CEF, Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA),and Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI), with Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption (APIK) being main partner, will bring together institutions responsible for corruption prevention and integrity to strengthen their capacity to move from compliance- and control-oriented approaches toward more proactive, risk-based and coordinated prevention. 

Through policy dialogue, regional peer exchange, practical exercises and group work, participants will examine institutional roles and cooperation, identify systemic corruption risks and explore opportunities for stronger prevention. Particular attention will be given to Corruption Risk Assessment (CRA), including its practical application to public procurement, as well as the identification and prioritization of risks and red flags. The workshop will also address the skills and institutional arrangements needed for effective prevention and the role of senior leadership in supporting these processes. Regional peer exchange will provide an opportunity to learn from practices and experiences across the Western Balkans. 

The workshop will conclude by exploring practical mechanisms for stronger inter-institutional coordination and identifying opportunities for continued cooperation.

Who should attend

The workshop is intended for public officials and senior representatives of institutions responsible for corruption prevention, integrity, oversight and related governance functions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, at state, entity and cantonal levels, together with selected regional peers and practitioners from the Western Balkans.
