Tailored Learning Opportunities for the Western Balkans and Türkiye Now Underway
We continue to demonstrate strong commitment to supporting European Union (EU) candidates and potential candidates through a series of tailored learning events. These activities are designed to address the specific needs and priorities of individual countries as they implement their Reform Agendas (RA) and prepare their Economic Reform Programmes (ERP). By tailoring support to each country’s unique context, this initiative helps public officials better plan, budget, coordinate, and assess reforms that are critical for the EU accession process.
Through these beneficiary-specific learning opportunities, we aim to build participants’ capacities in key areas such as aligning the RA with the ERP, the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA), and other EU frameworks. The events also focus on budgeting and assessing the costs of structural reforms, monitoring and reporting on implementation progress, and enhancing coordination and impact assessment of reforms.
Delivered as part of the EU-funded multi-beneficiary project "Structural Reforms Better Integrated Within Fiscal Frameworks" (FISR 2), these workshops in the Western Balkans and Türkiye emphasize practical steps to support the implementation of the RA and the preparation of the 2026–2028 ERP. Participants, primarily RA and ERP Coordinators and members of preparation working groups from line ministries and ministries of finance, engage in interactive sessions covering topics such as reform costing, integrated planning, and progress monitoring. These learning opportunities help ensure that no step is left behind and that reforms are strategically prepared and clearly communicated.
