Climate Change Policy Communication: Public Sector Approaches

Oct 5 – 6, 2026 Celje, Slovenia No Fee

About this learning event

This blended learning course aims to strengthen the capacity of officials across the Western Balkans to communicate climate change initiatives and the Green Agenda more effectively - internally and externally. Together, we will focus on:

  • Communication examples that people can understand and use (explaining complex topics clearly and responsibly)
  • Strengthening audience awareness and message tailoring across different publics
  • Communicating in low‑trust and high‑noise environments
  • Adapting communication to digital formats and user expectations
  • Understanding what communication achieves, not just how far it reache

This activity is linked to the Financing the Green Transition Conference. It complements its discussions on how public institutions can explain complex issues clearly, without diluting the message, build trust, and make Green Reforms communication not just visible, but rather useful for the citizens.
