The public sector differs from the private sector. Therefore, public institutions cannot simply copy corporate PR strategies and instruments. Instead, it is crucial that they adopt communication strategies fit for the specifics of the sector.

About the event

A public institution, which is in the service of the citizens, should ensure that it has a clear internal and external communication process, which is easy to understand and clearly conveys your institutional goals. All this becomes even more crucial when a crisis like Covid-19 affects our daily processes. It is important to think about how we can humanize the essential services that our institutions provide by telling stories that will raise awareness and change behavior.

We will look at how effective internal and external communication can boost institutions’ work and achievement of goals, by exploring the means and tools that best support our efforts and keeping in mind all the resources available in our institutions.

The online session will be held in a form of a discussion, therefore we welcome interaction and active participant engagement.

»This is a part of a Series of Online Sessions to replace CEF Coordinators Meeting 2020«. More information about the series is available on this link. The online meeting will be carried out on October 21, 2020, from 10:30 to 12:00.

Who should attend

The online session is designed for employees working in internal and/or external communications, public relations, social media, and leadership at ministries, central banks, and other public sector institutions.

Your contributions to the event will be needed and welcomed, so please expect our preparatory questions in advance, upon your confirmation of attendance.
