About this learning event

This webinar series is part of a broader Green Learning Journey, which consists of two linked activities:

  • a webinar series on Policy Drafting and Coordination; and
  • a face-to-face workshop on Planning and Implementing Green Policies in Maribor, Slovenia.

To fully optimize the expertise offered through this learning journey, we encourage participants who apply for the webinar series to also apply for the upcoming face-to-face workshop Planning and Implementing Green Policies - Center of Excellence in Finance.

Policy Drafting and Coordination webinar series will introduce participants to the fundamentals of drafting climate-responsive policies, and emphasizes the critical role of stakeholder coordination throughout the green policy cycle development. It focuses on integrating climate change considerations into all stages of the public policy cycle—from issue identification to monitoring and evaluation.

Participants will explore:

  • The full policy cycle and how to embed sustainability at each stage
  • What defines a “green policy” and how to ensure inclusivity and impact
  • Stakeholder mapping and coordination strategies
  • Institutional roles, adoption pathways, and implementation challenges
  • Designing, monitoring and evaluation frameworks for green policies
