Exciting Learning Opportunities Are Set to Begin Shortly

With the arrival of autumn, we invite you to embrace this season as an opportunity for fresh starts and the pursuit of learning and sharing knowledge. We will continue offering online and in-classroom learning opportunities across four thematic priorities we have specified for our work: public financial management, central banking, leadership for managing reforms, and learning and knowledge ecosystems.

We are kicking off the learning by providing an opportunity for young public officials to upscale their transversal competencies for change management through learning about writing policy notes, foresight and scenario visioning, and design thinking. The self-paced online course and series of online meetings will be delivered as part of the EU-funded multi-beneficiary “EU Scheme for Young Professionals in the Western Balkans” (WeLead) project.

Public sector internal auditors in Albania will engage in learning about the principles of decision-making and managerial accountability to support organizational risk management and internal control. The activities will be delivered as part of the Training of Internal Auditors in the Public Sector of Albania (TIAPS Albania) project.

Representatives of supervisory authorities and supervision departments of central banks are welcome to join us at the workshop which will reveal valuable perspectives into IFRS 9 implementation.

Together with tax officials, we will resume discussions on possible ways to address tax fraud and cybercrime. Given the diverse strategies countries adopt to combat fraud and deal with cybercrime, tax officials will be invited to share their own experiences and mutually benefit from shared insights during the event.

As part of the EU-funded project "Structural Reforms Better Integrated Within Fiscal Frameworks" (FISR2), we will also continue working with the Economic Reform Programme (ERP) Coordination teams and the Working Groups. Together, we will review draft structural reforms for inclusion in the 2024-2026 ERP and provide guidance on how to effectively write reform programs so that the ideas become clear and concise.

We will conclude the September learning opportunities with an online meeting during which public relations professionals and communication department representatives from public institutions will be able to explore potential collaborations and share effective strategies that are instrumental in driving success in the field of public relations.
